BLACK TIE Breuer Preservation FundGALA

An Event to Benefit the
Restoration and Maintenance of
Central Library’s ART & ARCHITECTURE
SEPTEMBER 20, 2014 – 7:00pm
Tickets Available Here
Presented by Grosse Pointe Library Foundation

On Saturday, September 20, 2014, the Grosse Pointe Library Foundation will host a black-tie gala at Central Library to celebrate Central Library’s role in the history of modern art and architecture. This is the first time since Central’s dedication in 1953 that an event on this scale will be hosted within library walls. Proceeds from the gala will go directly to the restoration of the Kandinsky tapestry, the Calder mobile, and other significant works of art housed at Central Library, as well as to the acquisition of period-specific furniture to improve the comfort, usability, and aesthetic of our beloved library.
