Program Description

The mission of South Lake Preschool is to encourage children to learn at their own developmental pace through hands on activities. Children are nurtured by highly trained staff in an academic environment who are dedicated to preparing children for their K – 12 education. The curriculum has a focus on literacy and numeracy, as well as social-emotional, creative, and physical development. South Lake Preschool believes the relationship between school, family, and community is pivotal in the successful developmental growth of all children who attend.


$50.00 Non-Refundable Registration;
Monthly Billing: 2 days/week $112.75, 3 days/week $163.89, 5 days/week $266.67.
We follow the basic school year schedule of South Lake Schools.
Tuition will be billed a month in advance. First billing will be due August 1.

Waiting List Policy

We offer open enrollment at any time, however, there is a spring enrollment fair conducted by the District for the following school year. Enrollment is on a first come basis with registration fee and completed enrollment forms. There will be a waiting list also on first come basis if necessary.

Adult / Child Ratio

1:10, with a maximum of 20 per class.

Field Trips, Special Programs

Fall family trip to Blake’s Apple Orchard.


All staff is CPR/first aid trained an have ICHAT clearance. There is also annual training on early childhood topics.


We comply with all the licensing rules for the State of Michigan.

Additional Information

Collaboration with South Lake Kindergarten staff helps to provide a curriculum that guides children into a positive transition upon entering their school career.
